Razer phone spotted in the wild

Razer phone spotted in the wild

In case you missed it, Razer is allegedly planning to . That does sound a little odd, since the gaming gear US company is not exactly known for its mobile hardware. Although, it does already have a Razer Edge Pro gaming tablet under its belt, which enjoyed questionable success at best. Leaks regarding the alleged smartphone are still scarce, but it has already and now a rather obscure source claims to have a photo of the handset as well. We'll leave it up to you to judge on authenticity, but as the story goes, an unnamed insider, working in the gaming industry, acquired the still unannounced devices as a testing platform for games. This does sound quite plausible, since we can only assume any Razer phone will have a gamer-angle to it. The alleged specs sheet certainly paints a capable flagship picture: 5.7-inch, 16:9 QHD display, Snapdragon 835, 8GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 12MP main camera and an 8MP selfie one, all running Android. Google's mobile OS has, indeed, become a pretty viable gaming platform over the past few years and there is still a lot of untapped potential to explore, as far as mobile gaming is concerned. Plus, Razer has already signaled its interest in the Android gaming niche by acquiring the Ouya Android-based gaming console back in 2015. Another sadly misfortunate venture. Speaking of which, another company now under Razer's wing is Nextbit, which you might have heard of for the now smartphone. Looking at the leaked shot, we can't help but recognise at least some design traits from the Robin. That's about as much as we currently know on Razer's plans in the mobile realm, but we are interested to hear your opinion on the matter. Would you buy a well though-out Razer phone that offers tangible improvements to mobile gaming? And if so, what would those be?

Another Huawei Mate 10 Lite render leaks online

Huawei's October 16 unveiling event for the family is only hours away now and leaks have been intensifying accordingly. Interestingly enough, despite all the effort from various sources, we still can't quite zone in on exactly how the announcement lineup will look. The is a given and the has been so extensively discussed, we can only assume it exists as well. Rumors and past experience also suggest there will be a special variant somewhere in there too. However, the latter might very well exceeds the suggested and most people don't really have such an exuberant budget to spend on a handset. Enter the , which has been eluding us for some time now. As far as we currently know, it might be a outside of China. However, another theory, growing in popularity, is that no Lite version won't exist at all. Still a and pre-mature suggest otherwise. So does the latest render attributed to the Mate 10 Lite moniker. It comes courtesy of the pretty reputable Evan Blass, so it definitely deserves the benefit of the doubt. Besides the new stylish blue color, the image doesnt really offer any information about the illusive device. Most sources say it will sport a 5.9-inch, 1,080 x 2,160 pixel, 18:9 panel, the Kirin 659 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 3,340 mAh battery, 16 MP + 2 MP rear cameras, and 13 MP + 2 MP front snappers. If the aforementioned e-tailer listing is to be believed, it should be available in Black, Gold and the Blue seen in the render and sell for about 349 in Europe. Thankfully, we are only hours away from Huawei's event now, so the full story is just around the corner. Be sure to check back on Monday for our full coverage of the show and the devices it features.
