New Samsung Galaxy Note8 update on T-Mobile brings roaming bug fix, November patch


T-Mobile has started pushing out a new update to units on its network. Weighing in at 383MB and arriving as version N950USQU2BQJA, the update brings along a handful of changes, including fix for an IMS roaming bug. In addition, the update also includes Android security fixes for the month of November. Finally, there are some bug fixes as well as software stability-related improvements. Samsung has launched a new tablet dubbed Galaxy Tab A. The device is powered by a 1.4GHz processor, and sports an 8-inch display of 1280800 pixel resolution. It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The device features an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter. It's 8.9mm thick, and packs in a 5,000mAh battery. On the software side, the new Galaxy Tab A features Bixby Home which is the virtual assistant's card-based contextual interface as well as Bixby Reminder. Other prominent software-related features include Home Mode (that displays useful info calendar, weather, and time while the tablet is being charged). The new Galaxy Tab A is currently available in Samsung's home country of South Korea. It comes in both WiFi and LTE options, with the former costing KRW 264,000 (around $240) and the latter setting you back KRW 308,000 (around $280).

Samsung has started pushing out a new update to its former flagship. Currently hitting units in Taiwan, it's the November security patch. Moving on, the series is also getting the November update. It arrives as version 40.0.A.6.162 for the XA1, 48.0.A.1.99 for the , and 42.0.A.4.133 for the . Sadly, there's currently no information on what other changes (if any) are included in these updates. As is usually the case with OTA roll outs, it may take time for the update to hit your device, so be patient.

Three new smartphones have launched at T-Mobile today, including the , LG V30+, and the Revvl Plus. Starting with the Galaxy S8 Active, the device carries a price tag of $820 (excluding tax). Of course, you can also purchase it on monthly payments plans. Next comes , which differs from the standard V30 majorly in terms of storage (it has 128GB internal memory). T-Mobile is selling the handset for $850 sans tax. Needless to say, there are monthly payments plans as well. And finally, T-Mobile's own 6-incher carries a price tag of $200.
